Do you ever feel like you're in a maze trying to find that one path that leads to the exit?
I did, the moment I stepped into grief after losing my husband of 47 years. Life became unpredictable and full of unknowns.
That is what grief is like. It's a path full of twists and turns that take time and lots of energy. Emotions become raw. Thoughts are lost in space somewhere in the great unknown. What was normal is no longer recognizable. Everything has changed.
Just when you think you're going the right direction, then you hit another wall. More opposition. Another wave of tears and disappointments. And once again you wonder if this will ever end.
It will my dear friend, it will. Grief is not linear. There is no direct straight path to get you from that time of loss to healing. It is a walk we have to walk. But we do not have to walk it alone. God sees us and is already there to help us.
Gods grace is sufficient. His grace covers us and provides refuge in the midst of the storm of life. It is an anchor of hope to hang onto in our darkest night, when nothing makes sense.
It's His grace that is with us as we walk through this valley. Always holding us, carrying us, sitting with us, ready to help when we are ready to move forward. He does force us or demand us to do anything until we are ready.
His grace is linear. It has a purpose and a plan. It knows the path we need to walk to find the exit. Grace holds the key to peace and is single minded. Meaning it does not get sidetracked. It knows its job. It knows because it is a reflection of the love of God and it gently leads us down the path that leads us straight to Him.
We are tethered to God through His grace. He is our lifeline that will always lead us through the darkness and into His marvelous light. All we need to do is reach out, take hold of the life preserver of Gods grace and allow Him to help us.
If you're searching and need help to walk through the darkness of grief, reach out, call out to Him. He's right there ready and waiting for you. You are never alone. He sees you and so do I. I'm here and I am already praying for you.
If there is anything I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to comment or message me.
Always here, always available.
